F.A.Q.
Q. Are you open in the rain?
A. Yes. The farm is open rain or shine, however people must leave the field during thunderstorms.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. We accept cash, debit, and e-transfer.
Q. When are sweet and sour cherries ready?
A. July is cherry season, but the dates change every year depending on the weather. Please visit our pick-your-own cherries webpage frequently for updates.
Q. When are your less busy times?
A. You can avoid the crowds by visiting the farm in the morning, or early in the morning on weekends. We are open 8am – 7pm daily during the harvest and closed the rest of the year.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Dogs are not allowed in the orchard for health and safety reasons. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the parking lot. Service dogs excepted.
Q. Do you allow picnics at the farm?
A. No. We encourage you to picnic at Charles Daley Park, on Lake Ontario, before visiting the farm. It’s less than a five (5) minute drive from the farm, and has a beautiful view of the lake.
Q. Do you have washrooms on the farm?
A. Yes, we have port-a-potties on the farm. If you want nicer washrooms, then we recommend making a stop at Tim Hortons on Victoria Avenue in Vineland before visiting
the farm.
Q. What is the best way to store cherries so they last longer?
A. The best way to store cherries is unwashed in the refrigerator. Wash cherries right before you eat or process them, but not before you store them, as washing affects the natural cuticle of the cherry skin and will cause them to spoil faster.
Q. Do you book bus tours?
A. Please email us to arrange a bus group.
Q. Do we need to book ahead or make reservations?
A. No.
