Did You Know That When You Visit Our Farm You Are Shopping Sustainably?!

Sustainable practices

We love Mother Earth and we love you, so we make choices that are healthier for everyone!

We follow socially responsible and ecologically conscious purchasing practices!

While this may cost more in the short term, there are long term benefits for all of us, including generations to yet come!

eco consciousness

We purchase locally and prioritize companies that make socially responsible decisions, we provide habitat for native pollinators, use compostable bags, choose gentler inputs when possible, and pay our staff a living wage.

Doing the right thing may cost a little extra, but what is good for the planet and food system is good for all of us!

Can’t Make it to the Farm? We do Deliveries!

We deliver sour cherries to a centralized location in Kitchener in July. Please subscribe to our newsletter to receive a notification or email us for details.

Wondering How to Store Your Cherries?

The best way to store cherries is unwashed in the refrigerator. Wash cherries right before you eat or process them, but not before you store them, as washing affects the natural cuticle of the cherry skin and will cause them to spoil faster.

Refrigerate in a breathable container such as cardboard, and not in a plastic bag. Do not leave cherries on the counter. They will not ripen more off of the tree (like other fruits do). Grocery store cherries are often treated with a chemical to give them a longer shelf life.
